As part of the winery’s efforts to contribute to a greener future, we have committed ourselves to installing two photovoltaic solar arrays capable of generating 50kWp each as part of the Israel’s new feed-in tariff scheme. With all that sun we are getting it seemed a shame not to use it.
infrastructure for the panels being set up
Yesterday,
after a month or so of delays, work finally began on the roof of the
barrel room to build the arrays. We have 1000 sq meters of space on the
roof, which will be completely filled with solar panels.
We are hoping that the work will take about a week to complete, I’ll keep you updated of the progress with words and photos.

Thats a great idea. Any winery that invests in going green is a winery that I want to buy from! Just out of curiousity, how much does it cost to install all of those solar panels?
