The solar panels were finally completed and approved at beginning of September, since then we have been generating electricity at the rate of about 600kWh per day and generating about 1000 shekels per day of income.
Statement showing amount of electricity we have generated
Everyday we receive a statement telling us how much electricity we have generated, how much money we have earned and the quantity of CO₂ we have saved the environment. It is interesting seeing the production graph as you can see when clouds pass overhead as the generation takes a dip.
More to the point we have finally been given our supplier number by the Electricity Company and have been issued our first credit note for the princely sum of 50,000 shekels. We estimate that the project should generate an income of about 300,000 shekels a year showing an annual return of about 15%. Not bad really for a project that is beneficial to the winery and also good for the environment.
Meter recording the quantity of electricity we have generated.
My final post on the project will be in after the holidays when I will outline all the struggles and pitfalls that we experienced when building and managing the project.
