General Information
Barkan's Galil vineyards in northern Israel produce rich, ripe Cabernet Sauvignon grapes during the growing season. The wine displays a deep ruby red color, a bouquet redolent of spicy berry aromas intermingled with oak, and a full round body that pairs well with grilled meats and sauces.

Nothing special to write about. A very simple cab.

It may be just me but I find this level of Barkan's watery. While it was a decent bottle, it had a slight musty nose and a very bitter, dry finish. The watery body didn't match the dryness I was getting. A confused bottle (or taster).

A decent "restaurant" wine for the price, not much by way of nose or finish, but perfectly serviceable. Mevushal too.

I have reviewed the 2000 and 2003 vintages. Now its time to taste 2004. It is a little less than full bodied, but still has a nice fruity taste. Dry, but not too dry, it is still an enjoyable wine.

Deep color, appealing aroma, typical cab. taste, lingering aftertaste. This is a well-made cab. and a fine value in its price range.

I previously wrote a review of the 2003 vintage. I recently found a bottle of the 2000, and I found it to be a little better than the 2003. Both years are very good, but the 2000 has a bit more body.

Medium bodied. Long finish. Tastes of blackberry and hints of lime. Recommended.

Maybe not as full bodied as some cabernets, but it is still very drinkable and enjoyable. It leaves a nice fruity taste in the mouth.

The best rapport quality/price ever! This wine is full in mouth and enjoyable with meat, lamb and barbeque.
