General Information
Barkan Classic Chardonnay is produced from grapes grown at the winery's vineyards in the center of Israel. The vines yield small crops and ripen early. Hand picked in small containers, the grapes are rushed to the winery to ensure maximum quality. The wine ferments slowly at cool temperatures and yields a wine with a rich nose of blueberries, guava, and pears. It is well structured, balanced and lingers in the mouth. Ideal with poultry and hard cheese.

Barkan Classic Chardonnay
No popcorn in this bottle! Light golden color, abundant aroma, medium-bodied, crisp, well balanced, dry, with spicy hints of pear, green apple, citrus and a long, invigorating finish.

This wine has a fresh, crisp, very fruity taste. It is a pleasure to drink.

A decent Chardonnay with the classic popcorn nose. The palate is not as acidic as previous vintages but the mouth-feel is relatively silky and the terroir is slightly chalky. The nose wins the taste on this one.

A nice chard. Had a nice buttery popcorn taste going, the body was nice and silky, and the acidity cut the tongue well. There was also a carbonated feel to it. Decent.

Fruity, with nice bracing acidity, not a bad Chardonnay for the money.

Golden color, appealing bouquet, classic buttery taste, balanced - but lightly done. Well worth the price. Drink now.
