General Information
This wine, harvested in the winery's vineyards in the center of Israel. has a deep violet ruby color. It has a complex aroma of anise, black cherries, and peppery spice. The wine is medium bodied with an outstanding mouth feel of velvety textured fine tannins blended in harmony to create a smooth, elegant wine. It goes well with poultry, pasta and grilled meats.

Barkan Classic Shiraz
Bing cherry red, very fragrant, medium-bodied, round tannins, well balanced with a long, peppery finish. Very nice.

The 2005 vintage is an improvement over the 2004. The body is good, but not great. However, the full taste with a hint of cherry makes up for that. The off aftertaste I noted in the 2004 vintage is gone.

Had this wine on the last day of pesach so I don't have any tasting notes but from memory. The wine takes time to open up, has low to medium body, and was slightly peppery for a shiraz. This was very watery on my palate and I didn't think it was well balanced. but the price point is acceptable.

More of a floral nose than the other Shiraz I've tried. Excellent wine!

This wine seems to have a light body when it first hits the tongue, but in the mouth it soon develops a full bodied taste. However, the aftertaste is a bit off.
