I had this on 3/9/09 as one of the later bottles in a store tasting. What first struck me was how smooth this wine was. It is also well integrated. A clear veggie nose with bell pepper, asparagus, broccoli, and cauliflower coming through. This has a medium to full-body feel. The best wine of the tasting.

Note: Israel 60 Special Edition. Full Bodied and soft tannins (14.5% alcohol and 100% Cabernet Sauvignon) but not as complex as Ella Valley's Vineyard Choice Cabernet Sauvignon 2003 and also not as fruity. nevertheless a fine wine to enjoy especially at this price level and from this extraordinary vineyard. You will not be disappointed!

A very nice cab with good earthiness and red berries coming through on the finish.

Full-bodied, ripe and complex.Shows good balance between ripe cherry, currant and plums, those with a dash of anise and oak. Developing nicely, with supple tannins and overall excellent balance.

Deep royal purple in color, full-bodied, with ripe, rich and complex fruits showing true harmony and finesse. Abundant layers of currants, juicy cherries and tempting oak shadings. Soft, supple and well-balanced tannins promise for a wine that although ready for early drinking should cellar very nicely.

This is a very earthy Cabernet Sauvignon. Leather, mushrooms, tea, and peppery spice are all expressed on the palate. The finish reveals the ripe tannins of the wine.

Great cab from a great producer. Beautiful dark purple color, full body and nice toasty finish from the oak, but not overly oaky. Long, elegant finish. Worth every cent.

Its amazing to see wines of this quality coming out of Israel.Allowed to breathe for a while the wine had a delightful aroma and a wonderful color. The wine was full bodied which accentuated the meat meal that accompanied it.
