General Information
Leonardo Recanati's Italian heritage lies at the root of his passion for quality winemaking. Grapes for the Sauvignon Blanc are grown in Shomron (Samaria). This coastal plateau enjoys a warm climate and benefits from moderating influences from the Carmel Mountains and Mediterranean Sea. Hand harvested at optimal ripeness, these grapes yield a full-bodied white wine with aromas and flavors redolent of guava, pears and citrus. Fresh hay and bell pepper notes, typical of a fine Sauvignon Blanc, develop and linger in the bouquet. Outstanding paired with fish, sushi, risotto and grilled vegetables.

Elegant And Distinctive
The wine has a light golden color, which is a little bit darker then most Sauvignon Blancs. The nose (its aroma) contains light citrus characters such as sweet melon, lemon, and apples with a strong undertone of celery.
It is super tasty and curiously much fuller then most Sauvignon Blancs I have tasted. It doesn't say on the label, but I would guess it was exposed to a touch of oak. In your mouth the experience begins with a sweet rush of fruit, but immediately subsides into mild fruit with intense herbacious characters of celery and bell peppers. Most medium range whites have a bitter aftertaste, not this wine.

A good value for SB, and very unlike the traditional New Zealand "cat pee on a gooseberry bush" SB. Heavy on the minerals, almost a french expression of the variety. Very clean and crisp, goes well with spicy food. Nice acidity as well, typical of the variety.

The very first impression of this bottle is the sweetness, much more pronounced than one would have expected from a Sauvignon Blanc. Maybe it is due to lack of acidity, which makes the wine feel like it's missing the "backbone". That said, it still has strong fruit throughout, and a nice, moderately long finish. Overall, not a bad bottle of wine, especially in light of the price, and is enjoyable, but it could have been better.

Vibrant, clean, crisp and refreshing, this medium-bodied un-oaked Sauvignon Blanc is both intriguing and delicious. The wine exhibits enticing aromas and flavors of ripe melons, citrus fruits, freshly cut grass, and guava, with elegant mineral notes all nicely balanced by a bracing acidity. Drink now.
