General Information
Grapes grown in the unique climate of the Upper Galilee mainly from the super premium Dishon Vineyard in the Kadesh Valley, were harvested at ultimate ripeness. The wine underwent a protracted post-fermentation maceration on the skins as well as fourteen months aging in a mixture of French and American oak in order to arrive at the optimum extraction and balance of fruit, tannin and oak. This rich, complex, balanced wine will continue to improve for many years.

Very nice, fruity, oaky wine with firm tannins. For Kosher wine, you can do a lot worse at this price point. Recommended for "new world" fans -- a bit too fruity and oaky, not early enough for old-world fans.

A Non-Jewish friend even agreed that this cab was excellent for its price range.

A very nice young red. Dark ruby towards garnet in color with notes of blackberries, raspberries, and leather.

An excellent bottle. Nice dark garnet color, fragrant nose, medium to full body, well integrated, supple tannins, long generous nose. An elegant bottle, much closer to a Bordeaux-type understatement than to a New World abundance of fruit. An excellent effort from Segal's.

This is good wine. I seldom can distinguish the subtleties described in the overview and by other reviewers but it is immediately apparent that this wine is better than the average, much better.

This is a very very good wine. Suprisingly, it is good directly out of the bottle even before getting any air, without any harshness despite its high alcohol content. The wine has a pleasant nose of grape, and after little air, some vanilla as well. I never have enough of this wine.

This dark, purplish-red colored, chewy, medium to full bodied tannic wine has aromas and flavors of (mild) mint, vanilla, oak, ripe plums, black cherries, and dark berry fruits. This fairly humdrum if moderately enjoyable wine is beginning to show some age. Drink now and with food.

Extremely dark color, almost black. Great black cherry nose with vanilla, plenty of fruit, and charred oak as well. Thick and chewy, this is a bold and vibrant wine. It is still relatively young, yet powerful and delicious. It tastes like black cherries and ripe fruit, with a slight gravelly or chalky taste as well. Velvety on the tongue, very little tannin, and not too much aftertaste. It is very interesting, with sort of an exotic and flowery nose and taste. It most likely will improve with age for 3-5 years. Bold and flowery, yet big and chewy. Great with lamb and distinctly Israeli. Much better than the 2000 Special Reserve Merlot. I give it an 87 out of 100.
