General Information
Yarden Pinot Noir was produced entirely from Pinot Noir grapes grown in the Golan Heights. The cool climate, rocky volcanic soil and high altitude are ideal conditions for growing classic wine grape varieties. Aging in French oak barrels for 16 months yields an elegant, complex wine layering fruit, floral and spice characters with that of rich oak and nuances of vanilla. To preserve the quality of the wine, this bottle should be stored on its side in a cool, dark place. Best served at 60 - 65 degrees Fahrenheit.

Nice burgundian style pinot. Good earthy bouquet. Nice concentration and complexity with earthy spicy fruit. Good structure and while enjoyable now, it can be aged at least another 3-5 years or longer. Well worth trying.

This wine has a very rich, full bodied flavor. It is an excellent wine, well worth the price -- and more.

Dark cherry towards garnet in color, medium to full-bodied, with soft tannins and an undercurrent of spicy oak, and showing a tempting array of blackberry, black cherry and cassis fruits, those with a long floral and light mineral-earthy finish.

A rich and full-flavored pinot. Serve on the cool side. Worth the price for a special occasion or Shabbos.

We drank this one very young. My French friend turned up his nose on this one and proclaimed that no one but the French can make a decent Pinot, but I beg to differ. This is a very nice wine, eminently drinkable, with satisfying berry and earth flavors. Vive Eretz Yisrael!

(Other review was for the 2002). Pleasant cherry and strawberry aromas. The wine is very dry and would go well with food. I am very interested to see how this wine holds up with time, as it has plenty of acidity to last.

Very nice Pinot. Had great dry strawberry and light "gym socks" Pinot flavors and aromas. A little hot, but not in a bad way. Very enjoyable.

Yes I was brave enough to try an Israeli Pinot Noir. It really wasn't half bad. Good texture and cherry flavors. Weak on the terroire side but still had a good amount of earth to it.
