Scores in the wine catalogue

Right now the wine catalogue requires reviewers to submit a score on the 100-point scale for the wine being reviewed. Do we think a numerical score should be required for wine reviews on the site?
For me I'm kind of down on numerical scores and would like to be able to put a review in without one, let the review speak for iteself, but I think there's a big plus in requiring them: it would generate a community average over time. So let's say 20 people have reviewed a wine, the average score will say a lot I think.

After pondering this for a while I decided that it is important that when you write a review you specify if you liked it or not. I can understand where someone might feel uncomfortable assigning a number, but that is just part of the reviewing process. To make it easier I will try to add the option of just choosing a thumbs up or thumbs down instead of scoring the wine. Hopefully that will satisfy your concerns about scores. Unfortunately I am backlogged on features to the site, so this might take a week or so.
