Noah Tevel Cabernet/Merlot 2006
90 points by Dan (4 reviews)
Great Wine
The wine has a light ruby color and on the nose you can detect cherries and vanilla. I was expecting this to be a fruit bomb, instead I found that the fruit was milder and the oak was more pronounced. It is extremely well balanced and full of flavor. Although the wine is dry, the fruit and chocolate notes tend to soften it up and make the Cabernet/Merlot very easy to drink. The aftertaste is long and impressive with coffee, chocolate and mint notes.  A great value!

Ben Ami Cabernet Sauvignon 2007

Great Value
This is a finely made wine created to please the masses with its fruit forward and well oaked characters. You don't have to be a professional wine critic to pick out the characters of this wine. You will find dark fruit characters such as plum and strawberries and a touch of lemon citrus all wrapped in a pleasant vanilla backbone.

Recanati Sauvignon Blanc 2006

Elegant And Distinctive
The wine has a light golden color, which is a little bit darker then most Sauvignon Blancs. The nose (its aroma) contains light citrus characters such as sweet melon, lemon, and apples with a strong undertone of celery.

Dalton Shiraz 2007

Young and Spunky
This wine is young, spunky and amazing. When I opened up the bottle plum aromas burst out and filled the room. I stuck my nose into the glass to get a better sense of the aroma and almost fell over from the alcohol. Its 14.5% and that’s a lot for a wine, the standard is 13%. I was expecting this wine to be like most Australian Shiraz’s, a fruit bomb, but it is much more reserved (a good thing). The experience starts with a pleasing fruit profile of dark cherries and blackberries, then out of nowhere the fruit drops out , does a flip in your mouth and shows its oakiness.
