Different than expected and interesting
Really dark color, inky.
Very smooth, refined tannin, intense plum flavor that morphs on the palate, but not super-fruity or sweet at all, finishes with some nice smokiness, approaching a smoked meat flavor on the finish. A little chocolate, too, it’s hard to pin down everything, it has an interesting flavor. Different from the Yarden Syrah. I think this would work well with certain foods, and it’s something I could sit down with a glass of and enjoy. It’s different than I expected, I wonder how this would taste with more acidity? Recommended.
