This wonderfully textured, medium to full bodied, purplish hued wine is delicious and absorbing. This well balanced wine has a firm, nuanced structure of acidity, oak, and softened tannins, all of which serves as a backdrop for a pleasing parade of aromas and flavors of black cherries, red cherries, currants, black berries, toasted walnuts, truffles, mocha, light spice notes, minerals, and an appealing earthy quality. Allow the wine a little time to breath. Drink now or in the next year or so, after that the wine will probably begin to show its age.

This dark, purplish-red colored, chewy, medium to full bodied tannic wine has aromas and flavors of (mild) mint, vanilla, oak, ripe plums, black cherries, and dark berry fruits. This fairly humdrum if moderately enjoyable wine is beginning to show some age. Drink now and with food.

This medium to full bodied, deep garnet colored wine is very enticing if not altogether complex, with aromas and flavors of currants, blackberries, and plums with hints of herbs and spices. Though generally harmonious, the tannins are a bit too soft, making for enjoyable but early drinking. Drink now.

This pleasant, medium bodied, garnet colored, international-style -- (i.e., it tastes like the grapes could have been grown anywhere in the world rather than from a very particular micro-climate) -- wine exhibits aromas and flavors of ripe cherries, currants, and blackberries, with hints of toasted oak and vanilla. The wine has mild, integrated tannins that help make it very food friendly and ready to drink now, but with the possibility of improvement with a little bit more age. Drink now through 2006, perhaps a little longer.
